A few people may have wondered the answer to the question that I posted in September of last year, "Who is John Galt?" The answer is: A great inventor. If You want a more detailed answer, read the book, Atlas Shrugged. It's a good book.
WEDDING
We've set a definite date. August 25, 2007. We are currently sending out invitations. There will be a joint reception for Jessie and me and our good friends, Evan and Gina, who will be united the same day. There will be appetizers, Dinner, Champagne Toast, Wedding Cake and a no-host bar. It's going to be a costume optional party. There will be a $100 prize for the best costume. Judges will be Me, Jessie, Gina, and Evan. If you think that you will be able to make it to Sacramento on August 25,2007, please give me a call on my cell phone, and be ready to give your mailing address so that I can send you a formal invitation. Please call me by the end of this week, so that we can have time to send it to you, and you can have time to RSVP. Calling me to get an invitation does not count as an RSVP unless you specify it as such.

I now have my new plan, picture phone and all. It is costing me way more money than it should. When the effort I put in on the phone finally paid off, I jumped for joy (I still have my same cell phone number). It was quite a fight to keep my number though.
So, yes, soon I will be over $200 poorer, and $100 a month poorer on a regular basis.

On a different note: today was Secretary day.. or whatever they call it to reflect all support staff instead of just secretaries. I got a free lunch, Chinese buffet (pretty tasty), and a box of chocolates. I love my job, and my supes!

My home # is the same as my apartment # was (I have had the same home number for pretty much 2 years now).
I will be getting a new cell phone.
The cell phone number is what is changing.
Yes, I know that it is sad that I have had my current cell phone for practically 4 years now and will have a completely different number that no one is used to. I will do my best to call every one of you, as soon as I get my new phone number, and let you know what the new number is. I will probably also do a friends only post, on lj, to make it known to all of you who I do not have a number for. The people who I do not have a number for and do not do lj will probably be out of luck. Hopefully I will be able to get in touch with them somehow.
I've been on the phone for HOURS with the t-mobile network. I am getting their MyFaves for families plan with a free picture phone, 1000 minutes, and an additional mobile to mobile plan tacked onto it.
For those of you who aren't familiar with the system, that means:
* I get to pick 5 phone numbers every month to call unlimited(any numbers, even not t-mobile numbers)
* I get unlimited weekend & nighttime minutes
* I get unlimited minutes with all t-mobile users
* I get a free picture phone per line
* I get charged $0.40 per additional minute
* I pay $79.99+$1.72=$81.71 a month for the package deal of 2 phones, 1000 anytime minute plan,
plus $6.99 for mobile to mobile plan tacke on to one of the phones = $88.70
* I pay $35 activation fee per phone = $70
So it is actually costing $88.70 a month for everything, the initial month will be $158.70 because of the activation fee.
**THIS JUST IN**
I was typing this while on the phone with a T-mobile rep. and she said that what I could do is:
In 2-4 buisness days, when I get my new picture phone, to call t-mobile customer care @ (800)937-8997, with the previous account holder on the phone with me (AKA my mom) and put in an MSNBN Maintenence Request. Both my mother and myself approve the transfer of my old cell phone number. We will probably stay on the phone a bit longer than that. That's it. The number get's transferred, I get no extra fees, my contract stays the same, I get my old number. Maybe.. They might say no, but probably not..

So, okay, maybe my number won't change.

A violin chimes in and plays a silent melody. A vocalist sings words that no human can understand. The band chimes in, playing along and pulling it all together. It is the most heartening, lovely music that no one will ever hear. A girl starts to talk to herself, not realizing that no one is there. She doesn't seem the type to care, even if she did notice. She speaks with such happiness in her voice, and she says:
My sister's birthday was this last wednesday. I posted on her lj on that day to wish her a happy b-day because i didn't know the best way to call her. At one point i had heard news of her planning on living with our mom for a week, so I left a message on the answering maching there only to find out that she was not going to be staying there after all. Oh well. She knows that I love her.
In other news:
Life is good. New job is fun. I hope I can have it for quite some time. Yay life.
I now have most of my wedding dress-outfit prepared. I picked out the top I wanted, found a nice skirt. They go nicely with my corset. I still need shoes and a veil. I'M SO EXCITED! As soon as my dress goodness is complete we will start getting Jessie's suit/tux ready. Fun.
We spent this weekend cleaning like crazy. The year lease is up and the new lease has not yet gone into effect, so we are currently in the gap. The landlord wrote a letter to us stating that he was concerned about how we've been treating the property because we smashed a t.v. and left it in the driveway for a couple days. It was taken care of by the time the letter arriaved. He said he wanted to do a walk thorough the house just to make sure everything was alright. Well, if he doesn't like what he sees he could try to evict us. So, needless to say, we have all gotten very nervous. This weekend we did the most through cleaning of the house that has ever been done to it. I hope he's an okay guy and just does a quick in and out and says that all is well.
That just about covers all current events

Whee.. it's been a while since I was last able to get online. I am quite hapy to be able to write this update. Christmas was terrific. I got a new computer! Yay for me. I am thouroughly enjoying life at the moment. My fiance's Birthday is tomorrow, I'm very excited about that. I got so many nifty presents to give.. will post more about that later.
My new job with department of water resources is going quite well, I really like it. The people are really nice and the job itself is pretty good too.
The wedding is being postponed, we just don't have enough ready to do it this month. Don't worry, we'll contact all of you at least a month before we actually plan on tying the knot. Thank you all very much for all of your support. I miss you all.

I go to fill out the paperwork for my new job today after work. I am quite excited. It will be very nice money, and just in the nick of time because right now I am completely out of money, and have been for about a month. I do mean completely out of money, my bank account is a $0 and I have no cash or change. Fortunately, I should see some money by next week or so for this job; but unfortunately it is going strait to bills and food(none will be left for anything else, and not much will even be left for food, most is going towards bills.)
I am a bit nervous. Our current roommate is moving out by the end of the month, and my brother and his girlfriend are moving in as our new roomates in jan. The month inbetween frightens me.. not sure about rent.
Still looking for a ride for the 3rd weekend of workshops.

So I ended up not going 1st weekend of workshops. To be honest, it was mostly because I decided it would be a good idea to get the extra hours at work. I will still be going. Hopefully I can find rides for sun next weekend and the third weekend of workshops. (I have one for the sat of next weekend.)
I will definately be there on saturday of next weekend. I am working on transportation for sunday of next weekend and the following weekend of workshops. Do you know anyone that goes through sacramento that could possibly give me a ride on any of those three days? (sun 12th; sat 18th, sun 19th= days i need a ride)
In other news, it looks like I finally got a full time permanent state job. Yay for me.

Forgive me friends, for I have sinned. It has been several years since my last confession. In these past days I have re-commited the horrible sin of bad planning. Once again, because I have only confirmed one person to drive me to Dickens faire and workshops, when my friend's plans change then it leaves me to try and beg a ride from someone else. I have a ride with him for run of faire, but need a ride for workshop weekends; particularly this weekend. I know it is awful last minute, but can anyone do it? I live in Sacramento, so it would be from Sacramento to SanFrancisco. I appreciate any offers and/or suggestions.

I finaly managed to get the typing certificate. Yay for me. so now I have two perspective jobs.. I wonder if I'll get them. Wish me luck.
Also, it has been brought to my attention that the folsom fair is running near and that it is actually on a different weekend then the casa de fruita faire. I must figure out who I can carpool with and who I can sign up with for minimal responsibilities, any suggestions? If you have any, feel free to call me on my cell (916) 879-3332. For those of you who have never read it, the previous quote, "Who is John Galt?" is from the book that I am currently reading, Atlas Shrugged. I was just curious what responses I would get for the post. I have yet to get far enough in the book for the question to be answered, but am quite curious why people keep asking the same question, with no answer.

Alright, I know this is kind of late, but I need a ride to casa workshops this weekend. I have spent all this time following up leads on people that might give me a ride, and have found out that they won't. Is there anyone who I could hitch a ride with that lives in Sacramento that anyone can think of? Anyone close to Sacramento (like davis or somthing) that I could take a bus to to get there, and then hitch a ride with them? Anything? Please provide any helpful information you can think of.

I didn't get a chance to finish my last entry, I ran out of time. This job arrangement of mine will not be lasting much longer. I put in my two weeks notice for Evan's Kitchen, and will have my last day on wednesday of next week. The PI position for the state will stop being full time and start being part time at the end of this week.. and by part time, I mean on a call-in basis only. So, basically, by the middle of next week I will be jobless. I plan on using said time to practice my typing. I still need to get that typing certificate. Once I have it, it will be much easier to get a job. In the meantime, who knows.
